Jewellery Making Classes for Beginners – Green Hammerton, North Yorkshire
Welcome to Pink Vintage Jewellery School. Have you ever wondered how a piece of jewellery is made, or are you looking to start a new creative hobby? Our classes are designed especially for beginners who want to learn the fundamentals of jewellery making in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Launching in 2026, my workshops will focus on a different skill each month — from traditional metalsmithing techniques to silver clay projects and seasonal “make your own gift” sessions. Whether you're creating rings, pendants or personalised pieces using birthstones, there’s always something new to learn and enjoy.
Meet your tutor
I began making jewellery over 20 years ago while living in Australia, initially creating pieces for myself, family, and friends. In 2017, I opened my first Etsy shop, followed by my own website a few years later. What started as a creative outlet alongside my career as an NHS nurse gradually grew into a thriving full-time business, with over 10,000 sales across both platforms.
In 2025, I opened my first studio in the heart of York — the city’s first to offer permanent jewellery — and completed my Jewellery Diploma with the Jewellers Academy, gaining formal recognition for skills developed through years of hands-on experience.
Looking ahead to 2026, I’m excited to launch my jewellery school, where I’ll be teaching beginner-friendly classes and introducing new techniques each month. I’d love for you to be part of this next creative chapter.
Where are you located?
The jewellery pop-up workshop is held at the Green Hammerton village hall. There is ample free parking available, and it is just 3 miles from the A1, making it easily accessible by car. Green Hammerton is located between York and Harrogate on the A59, and is in close proximity to Boroughbridge and Knaresborough. The address is 1 Harrogate Rd, Green Hammerton, York, YO26 8AB.
What Do I Need to Bring?
A hair tie if you have long hair
Reading glasses if needed
Closed-toe shoes (open-toe footwear is not suitable)
All materials and tools are provided — just bring yourself and enjoy the experience.
Minimum Numbers & Small Group Experience
To ensure each workshop runs smoothly and offers the best possible experience, a minimum number of participants is required for each class. If this number is not met, the session may be rescheduled and you’ll be offered either a full refund or an alternative date.
Classes are intentionally kept small to allow for plenty of individual guidance, so spaces are limited. If you’re thinking of booking, I recommend reserving your place early.

Travelling to Attend a Workshop
If you’d love to join a class but are travelling from further afield, why not turn your visit into a relaxing mini break? The local pub, The Bay Horse in Green Hammerton, offers comfortable rooms for an overnight stay, and there is also a 2-bed Airbnb located above the village post office.
Green Hammerton is ideally situated just 10 miles from York and 9 miles from Harrogate, with Knaresborough and Boroughbridge only a short 10-minute drive away. It’s the perfect opportunity to enjoy a creative workshop while exploring some of North Yorkshire’s most beautiful nearby towns and cities.
