FAQ

How long will it take to get my order?

Our standard processing time for bracelets, necklaces and earrings is typically 1-2 business days. However, custom orders may require additional time but we will notify you of this at the time of purchase. Made-to-order rings may take up to 1 week. Shipping within the UK is free and sent via second-class mail. If you need your order sooner, you can upgrade at checkout. For international customers, delivery times may vary between 1-3 weeks depending on your location. We offer the choice of standard or tracked delivery for international orders.

 What is gold-filled jewellery?

Gold-filled jewellery is made by bonding a thick layer of gold onto a base metal core, typically brass or copper. The gold layer is much thicker than that of gold-plated jewellery, making it more durable and resistant to tarnishing and wear. To be considered gold-filled, the gold layer must be at least 5% of the item's total weight. Gold-filled jewellery is a more affordable alternative to solid gold jewellery while still offering a similar look and durability. It can be cared for similarly to solid gold jewellery, and can last many years, unlike gold-plated jewellery.

How do I care for my jewellery?

To care for your jewellery, it is important to keep it away from perfumes, lotions, cleaning chemicals, and other potions. Additionally, you should remove your jewellery before taking a shower, bath, swimming, or using hot tubs. To prevent tarnishing, store your jewelry in an air-tight container with an anti-tarnish strip (for sterling silver jewelry only). Finally, clean your jewelry using a polishing cloth to keep it looking shiny and new.

What if I break my jewellery?

If you accidentally break your jewellery, I'm afraid that we cannot be held responsible for general wear and tear or any accidental damage that may occur. However, we would be happy to assist you with repairing any broken jewellery at a small cost. We also provide a re-stringing, repair and cleaning service for all jewellery, even from other brands. If you need any further assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us at nicola@pinkvintage.co.uk.

Why are earrings non-refundable?

Due to health and safety legislation earrings cannot be returned. This applies to all earrings sold in any store or online shop in the UK.

What if I am not happy with my jewellery?

We do accept returns but please contact us sooner rather than later, within 7 days. Please email - nicola@pinkvintage.co.uk to request a return. We cannot accept returns on any custom orders where you have designed a particular item and we have made it for you. The original postage costs will not be refunded.
